TheTrails Committee has been proud to be a part of a local coalition called the Almanor Basin Trails Coalition (ABTC). ABTC comprises several local public and non-profit organizations that have a keen interest in creating a system of community to community public walking and bicycle trails. The recommended alignments of proposed trail segments allow access relatively close to homes and businesses for community health, recreation, and a better understanding of our watershed and our environment.
In late 2020, ABTC, with significant assistance from the National Park's Rivers, Trails and Community Support Program, published an electronic version of the Lassen/Lake Almanor Basin Regional Trails System Concept Plan. Click the cover page photo to the left to access our Concept Plan.
