Striving to Grow Recreational Opportunities within the Lake Almanor Community
About Lake Almanor
The communities around Lake Almanor, California, in addition to being well known as "gateways" to Lassen Volcanic National Park and the Pacific Crest Trail in Plumas County, are centers for camping, trophy fishing, water sports, hiking and biking, winter sports, and healthy family living. Lake Almanor is the 8th largest reservoir in California.
Lake Almanor offers four seasons of recreation to outdoor enthusiasts. Pick your season, pick your favorite activity. Whether water skiing, wake or snowboarding, cross country skiing, running, hiking, cycling or snowshoeing, Lake Almanor is the destination for you.

Volunteers are needed to help clean-up trash and debris that is a hazard to both people recreating and to wildlife. This event is sure to be a fun and worth-while day for the whole family or maybe a great way for colleagues to get together outside the office. There are many cleanup sites located around the Lake Almanor Basin at popular recreation areas that deserve our attention. Lets show the community that we care for the lands we use and enjoy. Please join the effort!
Volunteers must pre-register to take part. Contact Vanessa Vasquez of Feather River Land Trust at 530-283-5758 or firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and to register for this fun event. Snacks will be provided to all volunteers. If you will not be available to participate, please forward this announcement to someone who may be able.
