The Almanor Park Community Garden is getting ready for the summer 2024 season and we hope you can join us! We think we have the most inviting and beautiful community garden in the region - take a look at the photos and see if you agree!
The newest addition is the beautiful garden mural designed and painted by Hillary Edwards, local artist and the art teacher at Chester Jr/Sr High School. ARPD is the recipient of a grant from Upstate California Creative Corps (click here for more information about the organization). The second mural on the container facing Meadowbrook Loop, nearly complete, focuses on our cultural and natural history. Together these new works of public art have created a wonderful, colorful backdrop to our space.
Almanor Recreation and Park District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Almanor Recreation and Park District
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
commercial screen reading software. All features of the website are coded to allow individuals with vision and
other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as someone without disabilities. We welcome
feedback and can often resolve issues in a timely manner if they arise.
